Human Bingo
Human Bingo is a game you can play with your neighbours in order to learn
interesting facts about each other. Neighbours walk around and mingle until
they find people that match the facts listed on the bingo sheet.
This game works best with a large group of people and can be played with
ages 12 and up. The materials required include: bingo sheet and pens for
each person.
The objective of this game is for neighbours to wander around and obtain the
signatures of people who have the facts listed on their bingo sheet. The first
person to have their entire bingo sheet signed wins!
Instructions:
Pass out a bingo sheet to each person, along with a pen. Explain the objective
of the game and the following rules:
1) Each person you talk to may only sign your sheet once (or twice if you
have a smaller group).
2) To win, you must have your entire bingo sheet signed.
Feel free to create your own Bingo sheet as well!

Block Party Favour Board
One benefit of knowing your neighbours is having the
chance to swap favours and help each other out when
help is needed. One way to make swapping favours easier
is by having a favour board at your next block party.
What is a favour board?
A place for neighbours to post favours they are offering and favours they are in
need of; such as babysitting, carpooling, landscaping, cooking, etc.
Why should I have one?
It gives neighbours a chance to give and receive free help, while also building
friendships and developing a sense of community.
How can I make it happen?
When handing out invitations for your upcoming block party, ask neighbours to
fill out a paper listing something they have to give and something they are in
need of. Then set up a board at your block party and post the papers there for
neighbours to see.

Block Party Favour Board
We are interested in setting up a favour board at our next block party, where
neighbours have the chance to swap favours and help each other out where
help is needed. Favours could include things like babysitting, carpooling,
landscaping, cooking, etc. Please feel free to fill out this sheet and bring it with
you to our next block party.

Neighbourhood Photo Scavenger Hunt
Have neighbours divide into teams and ensure that each team
has a camera. Each team also gets a list of locations/items
which they must take a picture of in order to complete the
scavenger hunt. Give a time limit and have all teams meet back at a specific
location when the time runs out. Neighbours can end the game by looking
through and sharing the different pictures they took during the scavenger hunt.
The team that gets the most pictures (or points) wins the game.
Some helpful rules are:
1) Teams must stay together at all times.
2) Each picture should include all group members, excluding the person taking
the picture.
3) Teams that arrive back late will have points deducted.
Feel free to create your own photo scavenger hunt list as well!

Match the Person to the Fact
While handing out invitations for your upcoming block party, ask neighbours to
provide a random fact about themselves that most people do not know.
Neighbours can also provide the facts at the block party. Collect the facts and
place them in a hat. During the block party, have neighbours pick a fact out of
the hat and then have them try to find the person the fact is about. After
everyone has finished, you can have people share the facts they learned. This
is a great activity for learning more about your neighbours and building a
sense of community during block parties.

Guess Who
Tape the name of a famous person on each person's back. As people
socialize, they can ask for clues about their famous person. To make the
game harder, tell neighbours that they can only use yes or no questions to
guess the name on their back. The last person to guess the name on his or
her back loses.
