Description: Students from PRM 36: Programming and Evaluation partnered with
Jackson County Department of Public Health to provide a 5 session enrichment
program for 16 School of Alternatives (HUB) students. Students will learn how to
ride bikes, safe routes to bike to school, and how to ride safely.
2) Leave No Trace Education (3 times), October 2018 – November 2018.

Description: Students from PRM 36: Programming and Evaluation partnered with
Landmark Learning to provide the Catamount School and Shining Rock students a ½
day enrichment program focused on Leave No Trace principles. 60 Catamount
students and 100 Shining Rock students will participate.
3) Climbing-focused enrichment activities (2 times), March 2018 - April 2018.

Catamount School to provide a ½ day enrichment program for 60 Catamount
students. The program taught students basic harness and climbing skills and gave
them climbing wall experience.

Description: Students from PRM 36: Programming and Evaluation partnered with the
Catamount School to provide a three-afternoon enrichment program for 22
Catamount students. The program taught students about local ecology and natural
animal habitats through fun, art-centered activities and games.
5) Leadership-focused enrichment activities (2 times), October 2017 - November 2017.

Description: PRM 270-Leadership and Group Dynamics students and I put on two
one-hour programs for the Catamount School students focused on team-building and
leadership during their enrichment time.
6) Outdoor Enrichment Programming (8 times), September 2017 - October 2017.

Description: PRM 361: Programming and Evaluation in Parks and Recreation
Management students and I partnered with the Catamount School to put on three
different outdoor-focused programs for 60 6th-8th graders. The programs occurred on
MWF over the course of one week during the Catamount School "enrichment time."
Students focused on teaching team building, communication skills, orienteering,
outdoor living and camping skills, and basic first aid.
Eastern Washington University
2014 (Spring) Farwell Elementary School Garden ClubSpokane, WA
Co-led (with Dr. Laurie Morley) a group of 24 students to implement a
garden-based experiential education curriculum for 30 students from
Farwell Elementary over a four week period. Through this project,
students learned how to develop and facilitate leisure garden-based
education programs, make community connections, and implement
programs within their community.

2012 (Fall) The Neighborhood House After School Program– Salt Lake City, UT
Led 18 commercial recreation students in designing and implementing an
after school program for The Neighborhood House. Students planned and
facilitated three afternoon programs for 30 elementary school students.
Students learned how to implement and facilitate leisure-based education
programs and gained hands-on experience working with local youth.
2011 (Fall) Trolley Square Art Show– Salt Lake City, UT
Led 20 therapeutic recreation students in designing and implementing a
community art show around the theme, “This is what I like to do in my
leisure time.” Students partnered with local ability centers, nursing homes,
and therapeutic recreation programs. The art show focused on art made my

persons with disabilities and highlighted the myriad ways to celebrate
recreation. This program gave students the chance to contribute to their
community while gaining hands-on experience working with children with
disabilities.
